"Vampire" Lyric Video
"...humanity is now emerging from its historical adolescence, where we have always had, and to some degree required, some form of authority telling us how to think, what to do, how to act, who to be; but now, it is time to become an adult: to become autonomous, free, independent, and liberated. It must be freedom for all, or freedom for none." - Andrew Gavin Marshall
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ll be posting lyric videos for all my songs in the coming months, and probably writing about them here. The decision to dedicate my next video to the song "Vampire" has zero to do with Joe Biden's recent Antichrist Superstar Tour stage design that he used as the platform from which to declare half the country to be terrorists. I thought it was the place to start with Red Flag, my first political solo album, and the recent Biden photo was just a no-brainer to feature as the main image.
I chose to open the song (written around 2012), and the album, with the words "America's an empire" because of a clip I saw of then-Congresswoman Jane Harman on Bill Maher’s show, where she stated that she didn't think America was an empire. He set her up for it by asking the question, "Is America an empire?" How is he even qualified to have a show?
The bulk of the lyrical content in the song was inspired by Andrew Gavin Marshall's Empire, Power and People podcast, which I listened to a lot back then.
His post, “Liberty, Anarchy, Property, Democracy and Power” was a direct influence. The main point of the article was that for the first time in history, due to technology, the possibility (and inevitability) exists for total global slavery to a corrupt oligarchy, or total freedom from it.
At the time, I was thinking about how the internet has exponentially accelerated Zbigniew Brzezinsky's political awakening, and how learning and spreading the truth is going to be the cure. The bloodless revolution.
“And the truth shall set you free.” - John 8:32
I had recently healed some unbearable back pain using Dr. John Sarno’s techniques after reading his book Healing Back Pain: The Mind and Body Connection. The basis of the technique is that understanding the problem fixes it. The song applies that idea to the world’s current crisis. Global understanding of our leaders’ corrupt nature will take away their power.
(I think, unbeknownst to Marshall, another, newer technology that existed at the time may even further precipitate our victory, and that’s Bitcoin, because of its perfect money properties.)
In the meantime, enjoy demented Joe Biden and his demonic black contact lenses designed to perpetrate a culture war. (That’s pure speculation, but sometimes that’s fun too.)
